If you receive a gift from someone do you consider that he/she loves you?

I received gifts from persons who don't seem to care too much about me. I don't consider that a gift means a proof of friendship or care. What is your opinion about that? Would you think it's a proof of love?
I appreciate all the gifts I received, but I'll appreciate more if I would receive love and support. Do you have the same opinion as me?

I don't really care for gifts. I have enough things. I appreciate some gesture of kindness and friendship.

@db20747 Yes, taking them for something to eat is nice. Some of my friends are elderly and so visiting them or helping them with some errand is of great value to them.

That is so true! A friend in need is a friend indeed. We have to help our friends with their needs by doing some deeds.

No, sometimes it's only courtesy.
