Where are the dolls you played with?

I did not...at the risk of sounding smug I was smarter. I did not like them smiling when I was crying, and I thought they were too stupid because they couldn't talk.
But in general most ladies here must have played with dolls when they were young.
Do you throw them away, give to some home, or keep them to remember your childhood or keep them for next generation. Exactly what did you do with them?
And were your dolls made of cloth or plastic? Are they still in good shape if you still have them.
I remember there was a big doll staring at me from somewhere on top and I always wanted to pull it down and confirm whether it was a real one. Other than that, I do not remember having a doll.

I had a few dolls. I had one that you could "feed" and then it would "poop" in its diaper. Then I had one that was just a doll head and you could curl her hair. I also had a doll that was as tall as me. Her name was Genie. Now dolls kind of give me the creeps, and I don't have any.

@cindiowens Yeah..they are weird...you may have taken beating, but they will still be smiling...that is rotten! They should be consoling us.

@vandana7 Lol, actually I started getting creeped out by dolls way before I ever watched any movies about them.

My sister and I played with Barbies. We also had Ken, kermit the frog and one of our brothers Gi joes which were all husbands of the Barbies. At some point my sister and I both agreed we were both a little old to be playing with dolls. Not sure what became of them after that. Most likely mom had them bagged up and gave them to younger family members or sent them to the Goodwill store

I loved my stuffed animals - I did not like those people dolls - no Barbie and the like. However my mother made a cloth doll - and I liked her a lot - she had button eyes and her lips were sewn but not with a big fake smile . . . and I believe I may still have her along with some others in a bag at my parents' house still.

This is what I wanted to know. That is our first set of attachment beyond our immediate family. We are wittingly or unwittingly attached to many things, we do not realize. Material things. And we discard that toy so easily! Even mutilate (I am guilty of that ..though not a doll, but a handset..I wanted to know how it works - and a table lamp).

Wow that is a lot of money and it was one doll? Where did she sell it? I really have no idea what happened to my dolls. I had a Barbie and Ken doll. It is not for every girl. There are girls that love to climb trees. I was not into that.
