Been a human pincushion and very glad surgery is over

Hats off to the doctors who were so lovely and gentle but having injections in my head for part of the afternoon was not exactly my occupation of choice! I went back to the doctor who sent me back to the hospital and they injected anasthetic all round the infection and did whatever was needed. Now I have this covering over the wound with a ??? wick in it. I have to go back Friday to have it all looked at. I was in pain due to the infection and now as the anasthetic wears off I feel all the places they injected, but at least the worst is over and the codeine might just kick in soon. Sitting waiting till a freind can rescue me from the hospital and take me home now as no way do I feel up to two buses and a walk! Thank God I went to the doctor this morning though or would not have had the surgery...
