So, I was pleased today when I went to Aldi, and a woman shopper gave me a coupon for 5 dollars off 30..it expired today, so it was great. I told her I wasn't sure I could use it, since I wasn't planning on getting much, and I didn't have enough to qualify for the coupon, but I did give it to someone else coming in the store as I was leaving..she was thrilled, and said how sweet are you..I said "well not that sweet, but someone gave it to me" She said you are what do they say..paying it forward..I said yes, that is the idea. I hope she could use the coupon, if not, I hope she gives it to someone who can!

I hope if she couldn't use it personally, she gave it to someone who could! I have been at amusement parks when people gave out tickets they couldn't use.

@hillhjill Yes, there a lot of good people in the world, but those who act badly seem to get most of the publicity.

I have often given away coupons that I couldn't use to other shoppers. I don't buy much either. Why waste them when someone can use them?

Yeah, if it is a good one like that, it should be used!

Do you think you can save more in coupons? What if you don't really need those items and since you have coupons you don't like to put them into waste.

You can buy things that you might not need immediately, but could use later.

@snowy22315 ahhh just wondering, because I have seen a lot of extreme couponist and it's weird.

I think it will be, if not by her, than probably by someone she gave it to!

It's nice to do things that now and then. Even the other day I felt happy that a woman offered me her shopping cart at the Ruler store—you plop a quarter in the carts just like at Aldi—and she did not want the quarter. Although I did not offer the quarter I gained to someone else.

If I had been in the mood I would have offered the quarter, but I might have kept it too!
