Color Pooling Pattern Discovery

I couldn't get the usual argyle pattern with the type of yarn I got. The color repeats were too short. I then had the idea to do corner to corner crochet making sure the blue in the yarn would be in the starting chain of each block. The result was a zigzag pattern accented with blue.
