An old cat

So this week I traveled to the country ( we call it rural area) to visit my elderly grandma. It was great as she narrated to us her ordeals during the World War 2. I happened to hit two birds with one stone and visited a distant relative. I don’t know what to say but I saw a cat that caught my attention. He looked sick and rained on so I enquired about him. I don’t know that cats have such a long life. I was told he looked like that due to old age. He has been around since the lady got married over 25 years according to the owner. I wonder how many people have managed to stay with a pet for decades? She was planning to put him down this week.

wow that is really extraordinary, there are rarely cats that can live that long, it is a very rare cat whether he is a male cat

Wow! That is old for a cat, but I feel badly that it will be put down. I assume it's from illness?

@aureliah I'm sure her stories were riveting. I love to hear stories from WWII, which I believe was the most important war in recent history.

Yes and my younger cousins who are aged 15 could not hold their laughter hearing she had been arrested and boarded a train that was operated with fire so when there were no firewood, the train would not operate

That is definitely an old cat. Wow. Sad to hear it may have to be put down, but it has had a long life.
