what do u think about the catcher in the rye now?

I think The Catcher In The Rye is a timeless classic. But I don't think it's still a teenager bible nowadays even though it was for me during my teenage and is still influential to me. My generation did share the views of Holden Caulfield during our time and cared about ideals in life. However, today's teenagers are occupied more with materials as they are bombarded an ever increasing number of products and fashion accessories.
