what is biryani? You people posting discussions need to realize not everyone here lives in your part of the world, how about leaving a description or explaination of what it is you are talking about, how do I know if I like Biryani if I dunno what it is??

I am sorry dear. It is very famous indian dish made up of rice and meat. All over india people made it and different people prepare differently. Like people in south made different than people living in north. It is always tasty. so whenever you visit india never forget to have Biryani.

This is one of the reasons why I think mylot is great .. you get to learn about different things. Before today, I did not know what Biryani is. For people like me, that didn't know: Biryani is a rice dish from indian subcontinent made froma mixture of spices, basmati rice, meat/vegetable and yogurt. I myself have never had it, but it sure sounds delicious.

i like mutton biryani the most among all the other varieties of them...
though i am not aware of other varieties other than chicken biryani, mutton biryani, egg biryani and veg biryani.
can you let me know if there are some more varieties?
