I’m so raging mad today! I haven’t had anything to eat and probably HANGRY (hungry and angry). I was queuing for milk tea as I was really feeling faint. Then out of the blue this rude guy and his date cut the line and went straight to order. And the cashier though clearly annoyed took their order. I wanted to say something but I bit my tongue as I’m too HANGRY I might cause a scene that I’d regret when I’ve had food. Has this ever happened to you. And if it did, do you speak up or just let people do that. I feel like it is very uncultured. Last time I checked I’m not invisible.

It's really odd for Australia although something common back in India. I am living in Australia for 6+ years and yet to meet someone like the guy you mentioned. However, I would love to see someone doing thiss here in Australia for a change.

I am currently in the Philippines Sunny. So this scene is in the Philippines. It’s not like this in Australia. I lived there for 4 years. It’s more ordered.

@flapiz Oh, going by your profile I thought you were still living in Australia... where did you live in Australia?

Very rude of them to do that, especially when it's your birthday! If it had happened to me, I would have said something to them. In fact, I did just that the other day when waiting in line at a restaurant to buy lunch. I'm not afraid to speak up.

I don’t know why I’ve become so timid now. In Australia I have learned to speak up and fend for myself. Now that I’m back in the Philippines I’ve reverted back to being timid.

@moffittjc Well it’s more because my parents always have the last say on things and matters that I’ve given up trying to have my say.

@flapiz Is it customary in the Philippines for the people to be more timid than in other cultures? It may just be that it's what's expected of you in your native country, versus in Australia.

That's very common in our country but in other countries, they tell you outright to your face to line up.

This is true even my French boyfriend complained to me about this. People are rude and don’t follow the queue. And he’s been all over Asia but he’s saying it’s very prevalent in the Philippines.

@sunrisefan They really should. I don’t know why they took it out. It does show. Even with the GMRC it was bad now it’s worst.

@flapiz Perhaps it's about time they bring back GMRC in the school curriculum :)

Some are just insensitive or thick face. I wish you say some words for them to let them know. Who cares for the scene? It's their fault anyway.

I really wanted to tell him off. That’s probably why I’m so angry till now because I wasn’t able to say my piece and I felt really wronged.

@flapiz That's the problem when we're not able to voiced out because the anger would tend to stay for quite a period of time. Anyway, just let it go and never punish yourself. In the first place, they don't care the agony you have for the meantime.

@ZedSmart Yeah they don’t know they’re giving me wrinkles due to their lack of breeding and proper decorum.

Happens to me most of the time. I'm not confrontational so I just stare and fume inside.

@montaun Yep my brutal mind is murdering them. But of course I’m none confrontational. Doesn’t mean I am mellow.

Same here. The pitfalls of being non confrontational. But I know if I let my fuse out I’d be brutally insulting them. I don’t really want to do so if possible. So I vent in mylot.

yes I have experienced it once before, but it's been a long time when I shop in the supermarket there are people who don't want to queue and I say nothing because I think I don't dare to talk to them

I dared not say anything because I was alone and there were two of them together. It’s really frustrating though knowing I’m in the right but did nothing.

@flapiz You are just like me, if only I had the courage to rebuke them, I would have told them that what they did was not true

Some people just have no manners. I feel that the cashier should have refused to take orders from queue cutters. I remember a cashier who was manning the express lane who didn't actually refuse to service a customer who had more items in her cart than she should have to be in the express lane. What she did was to ask the customer which ten items she wanted to check out. It is the express lane for a purpose. If you're going to hold up the line with more items than the express lane allows, you shouldn't be in the express lane.

Now that’s a very good cashier. Cashiers should be responsible in keeping the orderliness of the queue and imposing store rules.

Reminds me of that one time I went to the food kiosk and this one kid cut in line and took the chicken with out paying! I would have gone mad but the food was for my dog anyways. And I won't waste my emotion on the kid. Sometimes we need to learn to control our emotions. Maybe you should have considered buying food and not milk tea.
