Our National Holidays!

Hope everyone is alright around here. My friend @jstory07 requested I write about the Holidays that we have here since we do not celebrate holidays such as Thanksgiving and Halloween so below is a list.
January 1st is the New Year’s Day
Around March – Good Friday
Early April – Easter Monday
May 1st – Labour Day
June 1st – Madaraka Day which commemorates the day we attained Self-rule back in the year 1963
End of Ramadan
Oct 10th Moi Day dedicated to a former president
Oct 20th Mashujaa Day (honors those contributed to the attainment of independence
Dec 12th Jamhuri Day (Marks when the country became a republic in 1964
Dec 25th Christmas Day
Dec 26th Boxing Day
There is also Diwali and the feast of the Sacrifice which are not considered National Holidays.

We also have many national holidays, I can name a few:
New years day
Lenten season particularly Thursday andFriday
National heroes day
Independence day
All saints day and all souls day
Christmas day
Rizal day
... and many more

Interesting list. We do have Good Friday, Easter and Labor Day in common, as well as Christmas..they are on different days though.

People also commemorate Ramadan here because of so many Muslims in my country too. And we also have celebrations similar to yours over there.
