There are so many holidays around the world. As families age, the reality of what and how we celebrate changes.
One of my favorite holiday celebrations was the festival of lights in Thailand I still remember that and won't ever forget it!
But there are so many other holidays and so many other things to consider and celebrate.
What is your favorite holiday?
What is your favorite way to celebrate that family?

@DocAndersen I have the feeling that it's no more the same, even for children.

@LadyDuck It is probably not the same, it was a different world then.

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving.
Here, in Canada, we celebrate it on the second Monday of October.
Probably because that is when the harvest is in full swing up here.
The weather is usually still warm enough to sit outside and visit with family and friends while the turkey heats up the inside of our homes cooking until supper time.
I have a lot to be grateful for, and that's why I like that holiday so much.

We, when we lived closer to family always did Thanksgiving and Christmas. I do miss family Thanksgiving from time to time.

I actually enjoy Christmas more with my children, but I do understand the expense piece!
