Acorn Witch

I said I would show off a few more of my Inktober prompts, so here is another one. For some reason when I got to the 3rd day, I could not get the image of a little acorn witch getting mad at her familiar for stealing the acorns she had collected and stuffing them into his cheeks while he ran away.
I was kind of afraid of painting this one just because I was still very unfamiliar with watercolors. Little did I know, the disaster I was fearing would be coming with the prompt a couple days after this. I was very pleased with the end result this time.

@things4gotten I certainly can't tell this was on an index card. Why not try to reproduce it on the paper you wish you'd used? You may do fine with it again. Is this all freehand?

Thank you! its one of the few I wish I had worked with some better quality paper rather than using just an index card.

I am glad you think so and thank you for the compliment! I still have a lot to learn.

I've not heard of inktober before this. Is it a painting or artistic site that gives out prompts for ideas for artwork?

Thank you! I think watercolor paints are perfect for giving off that kind of feeling.

@RubyHawk Its part of the reason I have always admired artists who work with it and why I am hoping to get into it as well. It is a shame I could not take classes on it when I was in college.

Thank you! The painting experience I have is in oils and acrylics and that was all the way back in high school and college. I don't really have a lot of practice with watercolor.

@leny34 Would probably help if I used some better quality paper too. This is just an index card. XD

You're a wonderful artist. That picture is very good and speaks for itself.
