MyLot Exclusive #66 The big night is all over now and there was no Wave. Red or Blue. Democrats took the House and the Republicans expanded their power in the Senate...It really feels like nothing much has changed and we'll be stuck with tRUMP for at least two more years. Or maybe the Spineless Democrats will get something positive done in the near future and the Idiotic Republicans will go into Criminal Overdrive and get many of them expelled from the Senate. There is hope but not much of it. In the end, it all boils down to America not having committed suicide but at the same time, not embracing life. We're still balanced on the edge and waiting for some really good news. Or some really bad news so we can get the funeral started. Either may come today or they both may never come. That's why I'm dedicating today's song, The Masochism Tango by the great Tom Lehrer, to all Americans. Because, for as long as we're stuck with all this pain, we might as well try to enjoy it while we try to change it. One last word: Before my critics accuse me of being pessimistic again, I just want to say that I still think we will return to the days where masochism is just for fun instead of an all-around defense mechanism.
