Living on my Own

It's about time. I live on my own in an apartment that my parents rent. (even if my parents pay for me, I didn't want them to pay, but, they left me no choice.) I have furniture like a bed, a couch, a desk, a table for the TV, a TV, a microwave, closets, a dining table, a sofa, a toaster oven, and etc... So far, it is peaceful and quiet. I don't need the TV, I find ways to save money, I invite the poor man to help me in stuff and I pay him some money and give him bottles, I invite my mentally challenged friend to help me with work, and I pay him too. I try to save on water with some bottles that I fill with water at my work place, so I drink from it at home, I brush teeth, I clean with that water. Sometimes, I take away food from my breakfast at work, like bread, coffee, cheese. I take some toilet paper to dry my hands, and wipe some dirt wherever it is needed. I think about a way to save on the internet. So far I use the internet from my mobile (with a USB cable to the laptop), my dad pays for that. I will see in a week how much I use, and if it is too much, so maybe I will need to pay for internet connection. Your take, mylotters, please, share your thoughts about it. Any tips will be welcomed.

You mean you`re living on your own but your parents are still the one paying all your expenses there?

Most of the expenses, my dad already paid for a whole year, what can I do... I want to pay for my own and they want me to save my salary even if I can pay for myself and still save some thousands of ILS... I earn about 7000+ ILS a month, the rent is 2200 (including property tax). Can you please tell me how you live on your own ? Maybe a simple advice from simplyme ?

@stringer321 I think your parents wanted to give you all the best as long as they live and help you save your salary for future needs when they can no longer afford. Then, enjoy it to the fullest and be ready when the times comes that they can no longer help you

I use fiber optic internet, I think it's very cheap and with a very high speed of 40Mbps, and we can use it freely for a very cheap monthly fee

That is very kind of your parents to help you in this way and it is good that you are trying to save money and are not wasting it. I hope it works out well for you.

It does work well so far, I can sleep as much as I want and no one asks me for help or I don't need to wake up sooner because of dad's cleaning the house. I hope my parents will see how happy I am in the way I choose to live.
