Found a Deal Yesterday

I was out running errands yesterday. I was at Kroger, a grocery store, and I saw a display of chocolate candy with a sign that said $1.00. I thought there was no way these Hershey candies can be $1.00. The little Hershey miniatures that are usually around $4.00 a bag. So I asked and the cashier said yes, it was Halloween candy they had on sale. I love these little miniature candy bars. No I did not need chocolate. But does anybody really need chocolate? So I treated myself with two bags. I had a good day yesterday. I hope you all did as well. I snapped a photo of one of the bags in my candy bowl on my counter. Don't you love it when you find surprise sale items like this?

Yes, sales like that are fun to stumble upon. I believe that I have the exact same bowl that you've got here in the picture.

Great! I'm not big on chocolate, or sweet stuff in general, but I've been around humans for long enough to know I'm in a minority on that score. In our local Mr Price discount store, there is always a trolley full of products within a few days of their best-before date. And they are free!

Do you every freeze candy? I love a good sale like you found, but to keep us from eating it all in one evening, I put some in the freezer.

I'd have had to toss those into my cart as well. Do I need chocolate? Not like I need air. But chocolate is the next best thing to air, and for a buck? You bet.
