I Love This Picture, I am not Sure Why

This is one of my favorite photos. I can't put my finger on why because I am afraid of heights, but it really appeals to me. I found this on public domain photos.
I love the fact that there are stairs going down to the cool clear water but the act of looking down would surely make me dizzy.
Today so far has been peaceful and relaxing. I love days like this when I can relax and get things accomplished. It doesn't happen very often when the stars align correctly like this.
I have been able to set right a section of my book that has been bothering me for some time. What a relief. Now I can move on the more adventures for my characters.
Tonight we will be trying pizza with a crust made of dough and cauliflower. My daughter swears it is good. I hope so. I love my pizza and haven't been able to eat any for some time now.
I'll let you know how it is.

The combination of colors, shapes, and water all blend well to bring such a beautiful picture. It's one I would print and frame and hang on the wall.
I'm hoping to get my bears ready for a Christmas craft show that I'm doing tomorrow. I haven't done a craft show for quite awhile. It's been kind of a "force myself to do" thing with making the bears. I think there are a lot of contributing factors to that problem. Starting with the extreme pain levels I live with and going down the list through having my house burn down and losing all my furry babies that used to help me work on the bears (I really miss the little kitty paws helping with the threads and bear parts), to working in a new place. I have to get past all that and get back to doing something I love to do. I think it's something that we artists struggle with (you too) We don't deal well with change and sometimes we reach a point where we stall and just can't quite reach that point where we're out of the stall. Kind of like when there is a box on the top shelf and we can't quite reach it to grab it but we can just touch it with our finger tips. Maybe doing the show tomorrow will help me two fold, it will help me get back to making teddy bears on a regular basis and it will help get me in the mood for Christmas.
We have a pizza place in town that we love. It's a kind of a make it yourself pizza place. The pizza people lay out the crust and you tell them how much sauce, cheese, meat, veggies and other stuff you want. Then it is fire cooked and they call out your name to get the pizza. It is so yummy and my boyfriend and I love tons of cheese and sausage and pepperoni on ours along with a ton of onions. The price isn't too awful either. It comes to under $10 with a drink with it. (I'm a cheap skate, I carry my tumbler of hot tea with me, I can't drink soda.) The cauliflower would be wonderful except that Bill doesn't like cauliflower or broccoli.
I guess I should get myself in gear and get dressed and working on the bears for the show. I'd like to get a couple more miniature bears finished for tomorrow but will have to be satisfied with what I have done if I don't get them finished. I'll probably take them along to work on at the table though.
Enjoy your pizza! It sounds delish!

@BearArtistLady I hate looking down at anything. I laughed when I read your comment. It kind of reminds me of how I feel.

@HazySue I will. I'm starting to feel a bit better. I took my pain medication and am going to get to work on the rest of the bears for the show....I have one more discussion to start, it will kind of stir things up because I usually don't deal with things political, but this one I can't resist. Anyhow I am kind of looking forward to the show tomorrow. It also helps that my boy friend is a bit of a clown and he can make me laugh when he sees I really need it (I'm really needing it of late).
Two more things about the photo. First, it shows the artist in you. You do have an artistic side to you. Secondly I have a horrible fear of heights myself too. More than once the fire department has had to be called out to rescue me from the roof top when I have gone up because the chimney has been full of soot and I got it cleared and just couldn't quite step down on that first step on the ladder. Then there's the time in high school that the teacher insisted in my senior year that I get up on the balance beam. I warned her that I was terrified of heights, she didn't believe me! She finally got me to climb up on the beam and I took one step and froze. I was stuck up on the beam for 45 minutes. She had to call the men's gym coach to lift me off. He came up, disgusted, and grabbed me around the waist and started to lift. I went bezerk and started to claw his head (which was bald) and by the time he set me on the floor it was a bloody mass of hamburger. He ended up having to go to the nurses office and then to the ER at the hospital because he had to get a tetanus shot. He was razzed for weeks to come! I, on the other hand, was told NEVER to go on any of the apparatus that had me getting my feet off the floor and if I did I would flunk gym!!! The gym teacher had never had anyone that terrified of heights, and from what I heard never did since.

it's a beautiful picture, no wonder it's your favorite! i think the color contrast of blue and orange is what makes it so appealing. complementary colors will do that :)
best of luck with your writing! and i'm jealous of the pizza, sounds delicious
