I am still trying to figure out what her problem was.

Okay so maybe "problem" isn't the proper word. I had dinner with the family tonight, as we normally do. My aunt and I were both wearing leggings, but I was walking beside and slightly in front of her. This lady at one of the booths gave me this disapproving look and a once over - about twice. I mean, was it the leggings? They were elephant print. A maroon, black and white color pattern. I had a long sleeved hoodie type shirt with the eyelet holes and a drawstring threaded through several of the holes for decency. Maybe it was my socks. I went for warmth over style and so some of the green and black pattern was showing between my shoe and my legging. I am not sure what she was so bothered about, and I don't care either. Maybe she thinks leggings are "bad taste" or only meant to be worn under a skirt. I just let her judge, but I did wonder if she scrutinized my aunt as well, who was wearing a hoodie and a cute pair of flower leggings.

I used to care and now I dont. Granted I don't wear much else but work clothes when I go to town because until I move on Sunday, all my going into town involves me working. But I wear sweats the the store and I honestly don't care. I'm not dressing for them. Some people just have to judge everything they see.

I guess I was a little surprised at her blatant and apparent judgment. I probably would have said something if i was with other people, but being with my family I kept my mouth shut. I wouldn't have started anything, but I probably would have told her her disgust was evident and perhaps she'd like to work on that.

@thislittlepennyearns I was tempted to fall back behind my aunt to see if she would have judged my aunt as harshly, or if it was just me. Yeah, that's a good line.

That always makes me feel uncomfortable when I see somebody judging me when they don't even know me. I like to dress comfortably and I don't judge anybody for what they wear. Everybody has their own style.

I didn't let it bother me. I had been having a pretty bad day but seeing her blatant judgment actually mad me smile. I knew there was nothing wrong with what I was wearing.

There was another rude guy I just remembered as well, I may write about him in a few minutes. I know that people have bad days, and nobody is perfect. Everyone judges as well, those who say they don't, still do, just to a lesser degree. Anyway, I didn't let her attitude bother me, and honestly it made me feel a little better as I had been having a bad day before then. Did you go for a walk this morning?

She needs to keep her dirty looks to herself. Nobody has the room to judge anyone, at least in my opinion. I think your outfit sounds cute, btw. :) I've always wondered if I could pull off patterned leggings. Mine are usually a solid color, but I saw a pair at Walmart that I liked, black with snowflakes on them.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Thanks, I may just do it, depending on the price and style. :) It couldn't hurt to just try one pair. I get my solid colored ones from Walmart mainly, and one pair from 5 Below. I think I want a winter pair instead of Christmas, so I can wear them even after Christmas. Not that I can't, but still lol. Or maybe Valentine's Day - I'd wear pink and hearts all year round lol. Oooh, I'll have to check out your posts to see if they arrived. :)

I say go for it! My first pair of leggings were patterned. In fact, every pair I have is patterned. I am going to have to buy some solid colored ones soon. I need to go back to walmart and look at the leggings again. They didn't have very many christmas-y ones out yet. I bought some halloween style ones off of ebay. I hope they arrive today, and if they do, I'll probably write about it here.

Some people cannot refrain to judge. I really do not care how the other dress, I wear what I like, so the others have the right to do the same.

I will admit that there are exceptions. I know of one girl who dresses for a body type she does not have, or at the very least, wears clothes that don't fit her properly. I don't talk to her, but even if I did, I wouldn't say anything to her. She's happy the way she is, though the way she dresses isn't exactly decent.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I know what you mean, I have a friend who still dresses like she was a teenagers, so she looks ridiculous. If she likes, I feel bad saying something.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh my goodness, she exaggerated a bit, my friend also does when she wears too short skirts, but she is decent at least.

I was tempted to point out to her that her disgust was evident on her face, but then that either would not have made a difference or she would have been more prone to say what she thought was wrong with my outfit.

You cannot stop such people from judging you and it is better not to care what others think about your outfit.

Agreed. The world would be a better place if people minded their own business more. Leggings are comfortable and I don't see any harm in them.

I love leggings! I don't care what people think of me or what I wear! I like to be comfortable, so I would wear elephant leggings any day Another thing happened our streets are under construction for a Year My mailbox key didn;t work had to call the city to get a new key now we have to drive down to a little cove down the street to get our mail took them 2 days to get it to me!But I do not mind our streets are so bad here! We went to the meeting last week and he was a nice guy everybody had questions It was a lot of fun!

Yes, I love leggings as well. I love being comfortable. Our streets are slowly getting better here. There's a lot of road construction going on in our city. A major interstate will be shut down soon for road work, of course that will inconvenience a lot of people.

It's gotta be jealousy. She just wishes she could make elephant print leggings look that good.

Gary, the woman actually made my day. I had been feeling pretty bad yesterday but her open judgement made me feel better about myself. Atleast I am not one to be so blatantly obvious with my distaste of something.

I like leggings especially in different prints but I only have a plain black which I seldom use because it's too thin if I wear it. Maybe she likes it? Or you can tell which one because of her facial expressions.

Oh no, she didn't like it. The expression on her face was one of distaste. I need to get myself some plain leggings. There are some leggings that are a bit thicker and are warmer. I wore a pair of socks that go right below my knee underneath my leggings yesterday. It helped keep me warm.

@ScribbledAdNauseum And why she was like that? I also have neighbors who are like that. They don't like some people's taste in fashion.
