A Nepalese sign that doesn't tell English-speakers a lot

Here is another photo from Nepal which I think is very cute. It was at the entrance to a sacred temple. Vince went with a Nepali friend who explained quite a bit about the history of the place.
However, as regards the sign, it seems funny to have the first line in English and the rest in Nepalese.
And another interesting fact is that a lady from east Nepal is on our local Buy and Sell Facebook site and has made contact with Vince. She said her husband would be able to tell us about various ways to send money safely to Nepal.

Though I am not from Nepal I can decipher a bit about the rules written.
The first line says carrying any weapons or combustible items within the temple premises is strictly prohibited.
The second one says it is imperative to wear decent clothes within the premises.
The third one says Walk Way is only to be followed by Hindus.
The last one says littering the premises is forbidden. Instead dustbins should be used to dispose off garbages.

A member who knows Hindi has translated it. The first point relates to not carrying weapons, the second to wearing appropriate dress, the third that only Hindus should walk on the walk way and lastly put rubbish in the bins provided.

An Irishman in London got us out of there and on our way to the North of England and so glad he was very direct and concise very accurate.
Curious way they have though in Nepal.

@JudyEv
Perhaps they want to make us guess?
Scratch our heads and think what does all that mean?

That is a sign for foreigners to keep away . Obviously if they do not know their do's and don'ts they better not enter

@JudyEv Not really. They would any day prefer foreigners.

I guess some of it is confusing but it does seem pretty safe there. The general opinion is that you won't get bashed or robbed but if you are tourist you are fair game for inflated prices - which is pretty par for the course really isn't it?

You do learn a lot more if you have a proper guide.

There are some very lovely buildings there and a lot of gold leaf used to make the buildings stand out.

I can read Spanish and English signs but signs in Nepal are out of my league.

Yes, there didn't seem to be any places banned to women. Royalty wasn't allowed in this palace which I think was for a god. A female friend (as opposed to 'girl' friend) took Vince into the building so not being able to read the sign wasn't an issue.

Did you read my post about the sign we saw in a very welcoming Dutch-run French caravan park? In the ablution block was a sign saying 'feel yourself at home'. Native English-speakers here thought it was very funny but everyone else didn't get the joke.

If a foreign language uses Western characters you can sometimes guess at the words but not here.
