Voice activated assistants

I have spent a lot of time evaluating the various home assistants. Siri, Cortana, Google and Amazon Alexa. They are all integrated with your phone, but also have stand alone speakers. Alexa, the Amazon product has a head start with overall 3rd party or non-Amazon integration. Google, has entered the fray with a really nice soeaker and now a visual home assistant. Cortana has the best speaker (Harmon Kardon) but at this point the least integration. The siri (Apple Homepod) is interesting but honestly the least effective. So two questions for the world... 1. Do you have or use voice-activated commands today? 2. Do you have or have you considered one of the home assistants?

@DocAndersen On my TV there is somewhere that I can ask for something. I have never considered a home assistant.

I haven't ever used any of either....but I might consider getting one of the home assistants if they were affordable.

@MommyOfEli2013 It may be, the Echo Dot is only 49 bucks now, all you need is an internet connection and a speaker!
