That was embarrassing!

Earlier today, I was driving to a place I don't normally drive to. When I pulled into the business parking lot, I didn't realize how narrow the entrance was and my left front tire, ran over the curb in a jerky motion! I immediately thought, "oh goodness, I hope I have not hurt the tire, I hope I haven't knocked my car out of a good alignment", luckily my car drove fine home. And I also thought, I hope no one sitting in their cars saw me. It was embarrassing. Has something like that happened to you?

Sometimes I've done stupid stuff. I fell off my pony once in the middle of a huge paddock but immediately looked around to see if anyone had seen me!

I can understand that! That is the first refle we have when such things they happen! I used to do the same thing when I used to have a fall from my bicycle as a child!

Once I parked in a parking lot and as I was parking the person next to me was backing out. I could have sworn I was still moving so I start pressing my breaks and putting myself in park lol . I thought I was about to go forward into traffic till I realized I wasn't moving at all then I calmed down...lol My son looked at me and said " dad are you alright " lol

In India , especially in big cities the traffic has got increased many folds in last one decade, because of this getting a car out of parking place has become so problematic that I am sure a new driver would definitely hit few cars before he/she leaves the parking area! So in our country these things they are happening on routine basis and nobody pay any attention to such things!

Learning reverse has been a big headache. So dad said turn steering in direction you want your bum to go. I got it. LOL

When I was learning driving it happened twice. Once I drove into ditch and my instructor was not to be seen. Another trainee helped me. Another time I drove on curb, another person who accompanied a trainee helped me out. Usually, I drive very slowly.

You're not alone. Too often I misjudge how close I am to the right curb when I'm pulling into a parking lot but I just chalk it up to being human, no one was hurt just my car.

I've had more embarrassing things happen than that. We won't go into it. Glad your tires were okay, though.
