My big brother and sister asked for my help regarding how to put up the tarpaulin at the veranda to shield off the sun's rays at midday. I told them that 2 pulleys are needed and I also instructed them where to insert the ropes and on which side of the tarpaulin should the ropes hang. It was perfect 2 days ago. My sister was so enthusiastic to pull down and up the ropes until... My sister wanted to improve it. My brother went overnight with his friends and my son is in school. We are only 2 at home. An OCD, she told me she will 'improve' the tarp. I was irked but didn't say a word. I do not want to have an argument with her. I silently assisted her in whatever she wanted to do. Well, right now,the tarp is hanging loosely and it can't be rolled up. She doesn't want my suggestion so I let her do it alone. I just assist in holding the ropes and the ladder.

It is better to remain quiet in front of people who think they know everything. If I were you, I don't think I would have rendered a helping hand.

Be careful. Make the tarpaulin tight . Otherwise it will fall down.

yes, she did it by herself. now, i would not even dare to pull down the tarp when it is hot, because for sure she will say something again.

@ridingbet It's the only way to go with stubborn people, they must do wrong to learn.

yes, and as usual, she does not like to be corrected, so i let her do her own style.

Sorry your sister couldn't let it be. I hope you'll be able to fix it again. Try to have a good weekend, Ingrid.

Sometimes it is better not to talk. For people like them, it is better that we answer when we are asked.

That looks a bit dangerous to be honest. If its that lose, the movement of the tarp specially when its windy or rainny, can degrade the rope faster and eventually break.

it is tied toghtly, the rope i mean, and the 2 pulleys are positioned correctly. it won't be blown off easily. although it is windy, this is not so strong as when there is a typhoon here.
