First winter storm of the season

I'm actually relaxing tonight, taking it easy, after covering the first winter storm of the season. Got a lot of photos and video footage. The storm started roughly around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, and it stopped around 8 a.m. Friday morning.
I first headed out around 3 p.m. just as the snow was beginning to stick and all hell breaking loose. There were multiple accidents, people driving down the wrong side of the road, and a few cars tried to back off an on-ramp and u-turn once they noticed, "Crap, traffic is backed up!" However, wrong thing to do as they almost caused, you guessed it, "more accidents".
So, I thought I'd share one of my photos and check in to see how everyone on myLot fared in the storm. Did you get any snow?

@WendySpickerman I posted a totally sublime photo. Perfect for the cover of a chapbook. Two years ago we had the winter from Hades. So far November has had manners.

Freezing rain, Not much fun there and can be even worse than a snow storm. Any power outages?

Lasting a bit longer for you. Hope that doesn't mean to much more snow. Some saw 12 inches. Good luck!

@WendySpickerman When it ices or sometimes snows here, it happens mainly in January and February.

With the past weather down that way, I say let the sun stay! Do you get a lot of those bad storms?

I'd hate to say it but ours won't be melting too soon. The snow piles from the powers are up to my waist in some areas. Five inches and gone, wow! Who's cooking at your house this Thanksgiving? I've got to head over to your posts, catch up on what's been happening with you.

We got hit with about the same. Wet and heavy, Main Street here last night was backed up, traffic was at a standstill, due to accidents. The photo I shared was a highway shot. How did they do on plowing your area?

People getting used to the roads in winter is hard. I can see why there would be accidents and the traffic moves at a slow pace. We have gotten snow in Jerusalem but not all the time. I prefer we just get rain and no snow. Snow maikes it messier to get around and it takes a long time for them to clean up the mess.
