Did you know that we have this exquisite little bone inside our skull in the shape of a butterfly? No matter how you look at it - in any angle, its likeness to those pretty little creatures, with its wings spread out completely, is undeniable.
It is located just behind our eyes and part of the occipetal bone. I've had the liberty of observing it back when I was a university student. Its a very rare and fragile piece which is why not all students of the medical field have seen a real one on display.
My sister would call me weird but the reason why I admire it is how each of us have something this elaborate and beautifully crafted piece of bone embeded inside of us. It just adds to how special humans are compared to other species.

Seen like this you are right it is truly beautiful. I reckon the old saying about everyone having some beauty inside is true. We also have a pine cone in our heads. Now I wonder what else is there.

Thanks, I have not seen this. I have seen a few medical books and have relatives who are nurses. It is spectacular how we are so wonderfully designed.
