True! I dont like the idea as well of celebrating it with family and friends. Maybe separate celebration but this is the time the two of you will celebrate it alone because it is the most special occassion of married couple.

@jstory07 amazing! I always laud people who are still together after so many years of being married. It tells something about their good personalities. Because divorce is so rampant nowadays. Very seldom can u encounter couples being together for decades, you are good example to your kids.

@Janet357 we never did a big reception, just dirty people. My family used to do large weddings but that was more when I'm was younger. Had we waited until summer to get married we would have a bit more money to use for celebrations. I used to but speciality cashed at work for us to enjoy

Thank you mS. Marsha. It turned out well. We enjoyed the food and the almost-two-hr massage. I understand, maybe a simple party could do:) we dont throw a party because it is indeed expensive, just we go outside to eat.

@Janet357 My husband and I are going on a cruise next week for our anniversary. I am not sure if this will be our 39th or 40th. I also worked on cruise ships when I was 19 for over a year. I was a hairdresser on the ships. I have so many places that I love and I cannot pick just one. I loved the Greek Islands, Palma de Majorca, all the Scandinavian countries and a few others. Some of the places I went to more than once. I loved Casablanca.

@ramapo17 oh, amazing! It is like cruising has been your life. I have never experienced that. For the sake of info, say you are from the usa, how many hours will it take before you reach england?

Wow, congratulations on that! You are very fortunate to have cruised around the world. What country was the most beautiful to you? And what was your most memorable cruise?

Out of town again. Last year we went to summer capital of our country which is Baguio City. This year, I still don't know, I asked my wife where she prefers to go but even she hasn't decide yet.
