Vince has new name and I have a new career - just joking

Last night we attended a Medieval Murder Mystery evening with two friends. One person at each of the eight tables was chosen as a suspect and had a sheet of answers to give to the ‘detective’ who went around interviewing the eight after the curtains opened revealing a dead body on the stage. Each table had to try to work out the identity of the murderer and also choose the suspect who gave the best performance. Our table and one other identified the murderer correctly so there was a play-off and two from each table had to go on stage and do a Morris dance. That turned out to be me and my friend’s husband and the least written about our Morris dance the better. However we did get the most applause and won a small prize. Vince had been a suspect and had to wear a jester’s cap for the evening. His stage name was Roland the Farter who apparently was a genuine medieval jester. And he won ‘best actor’ and received a lovely bottle of red wine for his efforts. Needless to say, he now has a new name – Roland! And maybe I have a new career as a Morris dancer except that I thought it was a 'men only' hobby. The image is of the theatre but from a different production.
