today morning i went to my parents' home, almost 100 km away. i am happy every time i visit them. and the best one, every time i am at home, my mother always cooks for me, so special and delicious food.
this morning my mom made indonesian fritter, "bakwan" and we, indonesian have tradition to eat fritter with raw chili. we call it, "lalapan". the chili must be spicy, we for generations use to eat hot chili. chili (especially raw chili) has been part of our daily life.

Oh it looks delicious, I searched and it's very similar to the Filipino " ukoy", bean sprouts, squash, other vegetables and at times shrimp fritters, we do not put chili directly but the dip is spicy vinegar and you have the option if you want it with hot. chili

@nawala123 I was also allergic to shrimps when I was young but I ate it little by little and now it's gone. Even your word for shimp " udang" is similar to ours, " ulang" or " urang " are fresh water shrimps in the Philippines

I really don't like hot food, not chili type hot. I guess it is something you get used to over many years.
