Thanksgiving plans?

Life changes by the moment, doesn't it?
Our daughter and her family will be on their cruise on Thanksgiving, our granddaughter will be at her new apartment about five hours from here, and our grandson is in Maine ( a gazillion miles from here!)
I know Thanksgiving is a very special holiday for some families and we've had many family dinners over the years, but it's not as special as our Christmas Eve dinner.
Often, our kids would go to in-laws for Thanksgiving and our house for Christmas. So, since I thought our son and his son might just go out to eat with us on Thanksgiving, I soon found out most restaurants would be closed. Gee, you recon they might want to be with their families?
So, after not planning to cook, now I'm planning to cook. Since it will only be the four of us, it won't be a huge feast like at Christmas. I'll probably cook a beef roast with several sides, a tossed salad, bread of some kind, and a couple of desserts.
I think the most important thing is to thank God for all His many blessings.
What are your plans for Thanksgiving?

We will be going to the Isle Casino for their spectacular Thanksgiving buffet!!
I was trying to figure out where you would be a gazillion miles away from Maine but I do have a suggestion--we did it a few years ago and it was excellent--order and bring home 4 Thanksgiving dinners from Boston Market IF you have one around. You get everything you want with have the work and mess!

We're in NC. There used to be a Boston Market not too far away, but no longer. Enjoy your feast!
