Music has been a stable part in my life for as long as I can remember. I've been listening to R&B and hip hop maybe since I was 6 or 7. That was the only genre that was listened to around my house. Till I discovered Mtv and started learning about different types of music. But every time something like rock or metal came on the channel was turned. When I was able to have my own tv and cable in my room I started listening more. Around 99 and 2000s I had my own car and started listening to even more Rock and Metal. Now since i'm older and have kids of my own I listen to what I want. I'm a full blown Metal head. When i'm cleaning through out the house metal is being played. My kids look at me and say... ( Come on dad) lol. What kind of music genre did you guys and gals have to open your mind to? I listen to Rock and Metal even more than I listen to R&B and hip hop. If I listen to any hip hop it has to be 90s hip hop. I discovered on my own metal is not the devil... I love it.
