Speaking of Tea

What kind of tea do you drink? Any healthy one? I have just read a new discussion here about tea and it inspired me to write about it. I love drinking tea and I have just noticed after reading the discussion that I drink 6 kinds of teas. 3 of them are homemade teas which come from my garden. I have made Moringa leaves tea powder a week ago. Then I always make fresh hibiscus flower tea which I collect from my red hibiscus plants. Then guava leaves tea from my guava tree. Sometimes, I make homemade ginger tea with lemongrass and honey. The older I get, the more I am conscious with my health and I am becoming like my late grandmother who was fond of collecting herbs. It is good that I am in the Philippines because I can do that. I will be missing this routine of herbal tea drinking when I will be back home to Germany again. How about you? What kind of herbal tea do you drink?

Almost every time I go to the grocery store I look for different teas. I already had a turmeric tea, but I picked up a new kind that also had green tea mixed in it. The tea is very smooth and I like it. I've already had two cups.

@thelme55 It is the Yogi Brand I believe. Atleast the kind that I get. It is such a smooth taste and I prefer it over another turmeric tea that I have.

@MALUSE when I was a child, I remember that we only drink tea when we were sick. Even now, most of the Filipinos only drink tea when they are ill.

I like green tea especially the one which is not packed because after I finished sipping the liquid I could munch the left over leaves. I also saw an an episode on TV about a certain kind of grass called paragis, which cures variety of ailments such as cysts, kidney problems etc. I just tried it once just recently, it actually taste nothing it's like drinking plain hot water. It's just that our home is located along major street so I cannot get fresh paragis. Paragis grows everywhere in my country, it's what we we would pick during our elementary days during clean up time.

I drink all kinds of tea and coffee. I like herbs and spices in my tea. I grow some things that I use in tea, like various mints and lemon balm. You will find herbs in Germany, I am sure. They will just be different. I get a brand of tea called Celestial Seasonings and I know they have hibiscus flowers in some of their teas. Of course fresh from your garden is best.

Is that from a small cup or huge one? I cancelled my plan to harvest and dry moringa leaves because of the rain. How do you convert moringa powder into tea? just add hot water? I add this powder recently in my soup with okra.

That is not only for a huge cup of Moringa tea. I made that from the leaves of 5 Moringa branches. Washed, air dried them and made them into powder by using my nuts grinder @Letranknight2015. I just add hot boiling water to a teaspoon of Moringa powder in a mug. I drink it the way it is. Without sugar or honey. Yummy!
