Our Thanksgiving's over before it began!

Tomorrow is actually Thanksgiving Day, but we celebrated today so our son and grandson could eat with us.
And eat we did! I cooked roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole (my version), corn, deviled eggs, garlic bread, cranberry sauce, sweet tea, and chocolate pies. I'm a stuffed little piglet.
My son has gone back to work, my husband is in the back field deer hunting, my grandson is in his room on his phone, and I'm here myLotting.
I pray your Thanksgiving will be full of food, family, and fun. And most of all giving thanks.

Thanks. Do you celebrate Thanksgiving there even though it's an American holiday? Is that a dumb question?

Sounds like a delicious meal and let's face it, it is about family not about the actual date, we are very flexible.

@1creekgirl We have an early Christmas dinner with my one son so he can deal with two sets of inlaws and it is always lovely just being together.

That's so true. Several times over the years, we've changed the time and sometimes the date of our Christmas Eve dinner. Family is what counts.

@BelleStarr I know what you mean. For many years, our kids went to in-laws for Thanksgiving and here for Christmas.

Do you have snow now? It's a little cool here, 37F which is chilly for us!

@1creekgirl We had snow on Monday, but it already melted, it's not cold enough, it's about 35 F. We have a snow warning for tomorrow.

Fredo, does your doctor know why you don't have much of an appetite?

Happy thanksgiving day! We celebrate thanksgiving day here in Canada on second Monday of October while USA celebrates it on the fourth Thursday of November. We celebrated thanksgiving day in our favorite Chinese restaurant.

Thanks, Judy. It wasn't a traditional meal, but we'll have left overs for lunch today.
