Is there noise in the universe besides the buzz that comes from the Earth? Surely there must be. We can't possibly be the only planet that emits noise. There's so much in nature that makes noise. WE make noise I know, but I mean other things like the wind, the ocean, an avalanche, an Earthquake, a waterfall...the list goes on and on. There must be things on other planets making a ruckus. Well, maybe there is. Saturn is said to make noise. I read that it's not really noise, but rather radio waves that can be heard by human ears. UM, OK, what's the difference? "The main difference between radio waves and sound waves is that radio waves are a type of electromagnetic wave that can travel when there is no medium, whereas sound waves are a type of mechanical wave that cannot travel if there is no medium."-pediaa.com Never heard a radio wave before? Take a listen.

Interesting. I jumped on the "medium" thing as I started reading. There's no air or water between the planets, and therefore no sound per se. But there would be waves of other kinds.

Well, that's because you're smarter than the average bear, I just noticed the link isn't working.

@TheHorse The sound of silence is really quite deafening sometimes. I usually have to have some kind of noise going on to drown it out. Once in a while though, I do listen. Amazing what you can hear.

If there are human like creatures out there they'd make noise.

That's probably just magnetic waves were hearing.

Interesting. I wish I had better hearing though.

That makes me think of the philosophical cunundrum, if a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it, does it make any noise.

I actually thought of that earlier today.

I think it's very interesting, when I read it, and that will add a lot to my knowledge of the planet
