Sunday we were without power for most of the day....mot sure why, but it was a tad inconvenient.
Sunday evening my beloved Sandra arrived along with her mommy and daddy. This was their first visit to our new home.
We spent Monday driving across the Confederation Bridge and then spending the rest of the day touring Prince Edward Island,
My princess enjoyed leading down the hill in our backyard.
Yesterday they departe down snowy roads and we waited prayerfully to hear that they had arrived at their destination.
Today, hubby and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary. We did so, by helping to make apple pies again, for the church fundraiser. Another 73 pies. This time, two of them made their way into my freezer.

Thank you. We did enjoy the visit. Now all five of our children and most of our grandchildren have visited us in our new home.

It was lovely to see them. Now they are visiting Sandra's Grandmama in Quebec for a few days before heading back home.

We worried about them as they travelled. They encountered problems because many of the signs were covered with snow. They managed to miss the 1 to Saint John and then had to backtrack.

I'm very much enjoying being retired. I work at my own pace....
The pies were two days of work....but they also provided for a social gathering, so it reallly didn't seem like work.

We have been married for 43 years. Sometimes it seems like we've always been married....other times we wonder where those year went.

We had a great visit. Lots of snuggles with Sandra. In a couple of weeks we'll have another chance.

How lovely. OH look at that horrible white stuff. Mind you your granddaughter seems to be having fun in it. Well done you for making all those pies. I would love to sample one!

We have about 30cm (12 inches) of that nasty white stuff, and no indication that it will be melting any time in the near future . We are hoping to travel back to Ontario for Christmas so we are hoping for a few good travel days in December.

After looking at all those pies you were probably too pied out to have some to celebrate. Happy belated anniversary, btw. I would sing to you if I could. Maybe one day I'll tape and put on YouTube my version of happy anniversary. I didn't make it up but it's fun. It's to the tume of the William tell overture.
Didn't your arm or something get sore when you did this last month? Maybe you need to teach some of the other people there how to do it or at least help with the rolling.

Wooow, you had a lot of responsibilities. I love pies and I like to make them. Were all pies made of apple?

All of the pies were apple pies. Now I think I'd like to make a different kind of pie for us to enjoy tomorrow. Maybe I'll make another rhubarb pie.
