How many?

How many are doing Christmas cards this year? I know I would love to...
Since I lost all my earthly possessions, I miss the ones I kept throughout the years.
I had some from friends, and family who have passed on. Those really meant a lot to me. Because I could look back fondly on the memories. Now... I have forgotten most of them. Only a few remain in my head.
I got a few last year, but hoping to get more this year.
Some may say it is a pain. But to me... It is the one time of year, I think we should think of each other...and bring some Christmas cheer! So many like me...have no Christmas, or spend it alone.
I can't tell you the amount of responses I have gotten over the years, when I send someone I know a card who spends Christmas alone, tell me it just perked their holiday up to get a card.
I don't know... Maybe I am just sentimental. LOL

I like Christmas greeting cards better than gifts to be honest. I keep those because I feel like I am being valued by someone and it makes me happy that they put their time, effort and heart to express their love through greeting cards.

Texting is okay, but a little impersonal to me. However, I would rather get that, than nothing.

@teresatrotter That's what had been happening here in my country plus of course greetings on Facebook.

I have never been fond of sending cards. Even when everyone sent cards, I would buy some and forget to send them. Maybe there are still some inside a hidden drawer. But I am lucky to be able to close my eyes and can talk to my loved ones that are not here anymore.

We have cut back big time on sending Christmas cards. I am sorry to hear that you will be alone. Perhaps you can find someone else who will be alone at Christmas and suggest to them that you spend the day together? It saddens me when I hear of people on their own. We sort of adopted an old lady over 20 years ago. I pick her up on Christmas eve and take her home on 2nd January. She spends the whole Christmas with us. I stick her in the corner with a bottle of baileys and she is one happy bunny!
