Today when I enter the bus, since it was the first station, there was many free seats so I decided to sit on one. Usually I don't sit so elder people, people with children,... can sit, but if there are many free seats sometimes I sit.
It was first station so bus wasn't leaving station right away, driver was out.
I decided to read book since i have seat and I can do that. I was so deep into the book I didn't notice how many people etered bus after me (also I was on first part of the bus and not many people enterd there.
Then the bus was on so that made me look up, and I heard lady saying to other (older) lady: " I will ask girl, that's fine, I will ask her to let you her seat". I look around immediately to see older woman next to my seat and asked her to sit instead of me. She refused but I still got up saying it's not problem at all and that I didn't see her.
She was thankfull but I felt bad. I usually don't even sit because of situations like that, and I felt bad coz they maybe thought I didn't leave seat on purpose, coz many young people dont give seat to older people, but it's not how it should be.
Do you give seats to people who need it more when you are in bus? Or does other give to you ?

Hi Frenki :-)
I would definitely give my sit to an elderly person, a pregnant woman, a disabled person.
I feel it's right to do that.
It would make me happy to see them happy :-)
I was never given a seat, but I am okay with that, I just think that people are different, not all people will try and help :-)

@frenki I think it still starts at home.
Grandparents and parents are suppose to teach and show the young ones good manners and right conduct, to anybody, specially the elderly, pregnant women and those with disablities, regardless or race and status.
I agree with you, people only care about themselves these days :-(

There were quite a few times when I stood to give up my seats and they refused because they said they were about to alight at the next 2 stops or something.
It was even funnier one time when I stood to give up my seat to an elderly lady, and a middle-aged guy sat down without realizing the situation. And when he noticed; he got up, said sorry and offered the lady to take his seat.
The elderly lady refused for some reason which I didn't know, and the seat remained empty with the 3 of us standing. That was so awkward yet kinda funny.![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

That's very nice and kind of you to give up your seat!
I rarely sit when there are few seats as I allow other people to sit. I've been offered a seat a few times but I have always declined. Maybe when I'm older I will be forced to accept.

Yes, i give seats to elder people and children but a lot of young people doesnt give seats to elder people.
I'm annoyed when young people in an empty bus want to sit by me when i hold a bag or plastic bag with stuffs.
I hate being pushed. A few days ago, I was pushed by a woman and I had a glass box in my plastic bag. There are almost a few people on bus. Some people are evil.
