annoying power outages

Hi all
today is a small disaster in my place ...
after heavy rains last night, it overflowed the river around my residence and caused the lands around it to landslide.
and that made the electric poles collapse because the land was landslide.
it looks like tonight we have a power outage.
because they were still repairing the collapsed electricity pole, and that would take a long time.
and I don't seem to do online work for the next few hours or more.
this is very boring.
Have you ever felt bored when the electricity in your place experienced blackouts?

I hope that it won't take too long to repair it. We have had short periods without electricity, but fortunately they didn't last that long. We had to use candles instead of our lamps, and we were happy when the problem was fixed.

@leny34 I hope that you won't have to use the candles for a long time. How is the situation now?
We also used candles when it happened here, but I think that the electricity came back after a few hours.

Oh that was really bad land slide you have. I think the power companies will have to fill that up again to put the poles back up unless they will find ways to avoid that place anymore. Hopefully they could find a better solution soon to avoid this kinds of disasters.

I hope no one hurts on this incident and this could be fixed very fast. It’s really boring without power at home.

@leny34 Not too often. Mostly if we have high winds or someone wrecks against a pole

So many modern things depend on electricity and without it, life is very very tough.
Is water supply adequate in your place?

I cannot handle the heat I need to breathe. Do you have generators?
