I want to make a checklist of items we need to have before we pick up our new puppy. She is part Daschund and part Miniature Pinscher. I know... Collar, food, food and water dishes, small/medium kennel Help?

You will probably want to also pick up some sort of bedding for the it to sleep in. You'll also want to get a nametag (with your phone number on it) for the collar. If the dog will live inside, you might want to also get some puppy no-tears shampoo and bathe it monthly. You might want to consider nail trimmers. Also, a must is a monthly flea treatment such as Advantage.

Oh! I almost forgot - you will probably want to get a leash too.

It sounds like you guys have everything covered... Now all that's left to do is to look forward to a new puppy! You must take some pictures when she arrives - I love puppies :) (Oh if it's cold where you live you might want a hot water bottle to put in her bed with her - and an alarm clock. This will soothe her and help her sleep through the night - it reminds them of their mommies warmth and heartbeat )

Depends on how spoiled you want your new family member to be. You could add: pet bed/blanket toys (especially for chewing) doggie treats
