Accidentally hurting yourself is one of the worst nightmare. As you can see in the picture I got huge cut on my thumb. I was cleaning kitchen gas stove which had some really sharp edges. I just held on to it with minimal force even though it split open my thumb. The pain was unbearable at the moment and worst thing the edges were rusted a reason of which had to get myself injected with an Anti-tetanus immunoglobulin for safety. The pain has reduced but its going to take a while till the wound complete heals. Anyways you guys be careful while dealing with things that can hurt you.

Ouch! Glad you got that tetanus shot - yah, rust is not good. I got a similar cut on another finger the other day - but it was just a severe paper cut.

@nitirrbb7 My finger is pretty much healed up - but you know, you get reminders that it is there when you wash dishes or touch lemon juice . Hope your finger is doing better!

Seriously! I actually was not going to take the injection but when I realised that the plates were rusted, I was done. Seems we both had a bad day, how is your finger? Be careful and take care.

During kitchen works, getting injuries is very common for me. I am sorry for you and please take the injection within 24 hours of the injury.

Yes Sreekala I took the injection the very moment as the metal was rusted and just could not take the risk. I know women are often encountered to these kinds of accidents in the kitchen. Its really painful and I wish it doesn't happen to anyone. You please be careful.

Take care of that wound and it's a good thing you have yourself injected with anti-tetanus. I also experience cutting my finger because of carelessness. I am afraid of blood so when it happens and blood keeps flowing, I get weak, I have to seat down and get the medicines and gauze.

Yeah at first I was going to ignore taking the anti-tetanus injection but suddenly realized that the metal was rusted and could turn fatal if ignored. Sorry to hear that you have hurt yourself at times and can't stand the blood flow. You too take care dear.

I was just going to ask if you had an anti-tetanus, it's a lot safer. I am sorry you hurt yourself.

@nitirrbb7 If it's a glass cut, I do not care, but if it's rusty metal I am pretty concerned.

Hello Anna, glad to see you haven't been here for a while. Yeah at first I was going to neglect it thinking it will heal by itself but then realized that the metal was rusted and could turn fatal if ignored. Anyways if I had ignored then I would certainly have listened to your advice and have gone for sure

Oh, yikes! I'm glad you had an injection. I know a woman who lost her finger when her son accidentally slammed it in a door. She was smart enough to wrap it in a wet washcloth and have the surgeon reattach it.

@nitirrbb7 At least things worked out for her. You are a lucky man to have such fine women looking out for you. They are lucky ladies, too.

OMG! That was really sad to happen with the lady, for a moment she must have cursed herself for having a son like that I was not sure of if I should have got at that moment until my wifes face came in front of my eye's, I am a careless person and know that it would pain her more than me. And if I told her I did not get my self an injection she would really get mad at me. So I should be thankful to God to have given me a Mother and a Wife who will always keep me away from being careless specially with my health.

Tetanus needles are quite painful too. I'm sorry about the cut. You use your thumb for everything don't you?
