As a little girl, I watched this show and liked it. Mary moves to Minneapolis MN as a single woman and goes to work in a small television newsroom. Two of the characters I remember well who worked with her in the newsroom was her boss, Mr. Grant who was gruff and mean and Ted Baxter. A good way to describe Ted is from a line I saw on another page, "pompous, nit wit , narcissistic anchorman". Did you watch this show?
As we continue our tribute to the legendary Mary Tyler Moore, what better way to do so than to play the opening title sequence from her award winning series,...

That was must see TV long before NBC’s Thursday night lineup in the 80s: All in the Family, M*A*S*H, Mary Tyler Moore Show, Bob Newhart Show, and The Carol Burnett Show.
