As I think I mentioned in a previous post, I decided to do a Fall sunflower experiment. I can't remember exactly when I planted it, but I think it was September.
In any case, I actually have a sunflower! I think it bloomed a couple of days ago, and I noticed it yesterday. As of today, it's still going strong.
Do you have any "late bloomers" in your garden this year? My tomato plant still looks healthy, but it's not producing any tomatoes right now.

I did but a freeze came one night and wiped out the new cukes and squash plants. I did not plant those, they came up after the garden was mowed down.

It is beautiful! Nope, I can't keep plants alive-only kids and animals.

There are a few blue blossoms on our California lilacs and a few blooming dandelions around, but
that is all.

Congratulations. I'm planning to plant sunflower in my yard, but first I have to find some sunflower seeds.

@toniganzon Hmm. I hope you find them. They're common here. I would think they would do well in the Philippines.

Sunflower!! It is a beauty. Take good care of it.
As for me, nothing in my garden outseason themselves, since we don't have seasons. The bird-eye chilli are producing enough for mom's use and the roselle is ready for its 6th week harvest.

@TheHorse A few months back I planted okra with some tips from other Mylotters. Some calls it ladies finger. They grows so well. I kept their seeds, and planning to replant them later. The old lady next door planted lots of tropical flowers like hibiscus and rose. I tried planting pumpkin, they grows well too, but aren't producing much pumpkin. Maybe because I keep taking their flower for tempura.

I think I'm a late bloomer - 56 and still not at my peak - any day now as I keep telling myself.

How pretty!
We currently have another green pepper on a plant that my husband grew in a big pot. He kept it on the patio. He's brought it inside a few times when we've had freezing temps.
