If you ask 96 year old man Alfred Larson what is the secret of living such a long life, it is that after he retired from his previous line of work, he found a hobby of building nest for bluebirds in the Southwest Idaho area.
Alfred found his life after retirement by reading an article in National Geographic magazine that he could be useful by building nests near his home as a way to assist the bluebird population to increase and live a long life.
So far Alfred in the past 40 years has banded over 900 birds.
Alfred is watching over 350 nests that he has built in the Southwest Idaho area which has six different bluebird trails.
Lesson to be learned is to follow your passions in life.
