So Relieved

Thank goodness Doodles is feeling much better now. We were planning on an emergency visit to his vet later. He didn’t touch his food or medications for days.
He refused his breakfast this morning. We had to leave him to attend a breakfast at our club, since our friend was a speaker and so was my husband!
We just returned and when Doodles saw us, he immediately went to his dish and ate. He also had a big drink from his bowl.
We are so relieved! We love Doodles so much and wanted our last days with him to be special. He goes to live in his daddy’s big, beautiful new house for the first time on Wednesday. We will say goodbye to him on Thursday before we leave for six months in sunny Florida.

I got that joy too from Preiti when I watched her eating who seemingly suffers from anorexia and some say she is doing it to slim down. (lol)

@DianneN She has lost a lot of weight. We know nothing of animals as Preiti does not seem to suffer from any ailment but suddenly stops eating for days

@allknowing I can't believe she is still doing that. At least she is healthy and well, otherwise.

@wolfgirl569 I hope. My son is worried it's diabetes or his liver. I told him to get Doodles checked out if he's worried. Sheesh.

Doodles looks a little bit of a porker I doubt it would have done him any harm to have gone without for a few days!. Maybe he senses you are off on your jaunts again and was protesting!

@FayeHazel Well, as it turned out, I was stupid and didn't realize he hadn't used his kitty box since Saturday morning! He was in the hospital today.

Glad Doodles is feeling better. My cat is eating much better than he has been..but he is still miserable, at least most of the time. I am so discouraged..someone told me about their cat that had a heart problem though and went on a specialized diet and was around for 5 years..so I might look into that. You being gone is probably going to have a negative effect on Doodles, but unless you take him..you can't get around it.

@DianneN Yes, I am sure he will enjoy being in the big house that should keep him entertained for awhile.

Thank you. I'm very relieved, but my son is worried it may be diabetes or his liver, so will have him checked out at the vet.
I feel horrible for your cat and you, too. Anything is worth a shot when it comes to our babies.
Doodles can't fly due his heart problem and besides, my son loves him, too, and wants him badly. Doodles loves his daddy the most and will enjoy sniffing everything in his house. We FaceTime with him from Florida. When he hears our voice, he gets so excited. I ask him if he wants a treat, and his father throws a few for him. I will miss him more than I will miss our son.

Thank you! I love that boy. I think he will enjoy smelling his daddy's scent and putting his own on everything he can. His joy in life is sniffing new things. My son will pick up all his blankets, toys, food, kitties beds and gyms, and meds. He plans to work from home just to be with Doodles and help him settle in.
