I know, I am late for my first post of the month post, put I gave priority to craft some Christmas decorations. In the photo you can see some decorations I made yesterday. A small Christmas tree, a winter village that painted on clay, some paper huts and finally some branches of our holly tree. December: - the last month of the year gets its name from the Latin word "decem" meaning ten. In the ancient times this was the 10th month of the year. - The flower of December is narcissus, the birthstone the blue Zircon, Turquoise and Tanzanite (all blue stones) - December 12th is Poinsettia Day, the plant often used to decorate the house for Christmas. The decorations on a Christmas tree have specific meanings: - candles represent the light of the world - the Star on top is a reminder of the comet and the first Christmas night - the candy canes represent the Shepherd’s cane. Did you craft some homemade Christmas decorations?

Your decorations are lovely. I didn't know the poinsettia had its own special day.

There is no limit to what is being put up on a Christmas Tree. I shopped online and got so many little objects last year - candies, santas, icicles, gift boxes, .............................

I like your Christmas decorations The only Christmas decorations I have made this year are stars made from paper. I make two different kinds - small stars (standard stars) and larger stars. Many people are able to make the small stars and I learned it many year ago. I have designed the large stars. I experimented and created them by trial and error. Our Christmas tree is very small and my own stars are too big for the tree, so I use the small stars for the tree. I will put my own stars in the windows.
