If you haven't been keeping up with my Best Buy Battle here is the summary.
Monday, November 26th I ordered The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack from Best Buy for their Cyber Monday sale. So this is an online order for a digital product.
Best Buy states digital codes for digital products will come in 30 minutes, it could take up to 1 hour or if you are unlucky then it will take 4-8 hours.
Monday, I got nothing. I understood it was Cyber Monday it is a mess. Tuesday, still nothing! I messaged their forums. Wednesday, so we are at 72 hours and still nothing. At this point, their forums are filling up with angry people. I have messaged their Twitter and Facebook and no one is talking. Thursday, this is getting nuts still nothing! At this point one of the mods has left a message on the board to contact them and so I messaged them and still nothing. So now we are at day 5, Friday. This is the last day of November and still...NOTHING
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday no results, the forums are going nuts.
Saturday, December 1st the breath of fresh air beings!
I was getting so irritated because our cries were falling on deaf ears. So I decided to be the passive-aggressive beast that I am and I decided to expose Best Buy for their nonsense.
I screenshotted all the posts in the forums and blasted it on their Facebook page and it fell right in line with all the other complaints.
I took a nap and woke up to a message from BEST BUY on Facebook.
A lovely man, Austin finally contacted me and helped me through my order.
He refunded my money and gave me my digital download code. So I got the game for free!
I am still so bothered by how terrible that situation was because it literally took 127 hours (that is a good movie by the way) to get something that is supposed to take 30 minutes. That is insane.
I told Best Buy Austin that he is a god, deserve a drink, and deserves so much more than Best Buy because that business is going under so fast.
Nothing but complaints on their Facebook page, their forums are filled with ticked off people, Twitter is crazy with disappointed and frustrated people.
I know Amazon has its cons of not giving a fair wage to their people, but at least they respond in a timely manner. Amazon is going to destroy Best Buy if they keep this up.
So yeah, now my sims can become famous! And for free!

I can tell you that I have had horrible experiences with Best Buy. There was a time when I bought every appliance from Best Buy. That started to end before we moved to Maryland and since moving here, it has ended forever. I won't even go into the store anymore.
They have horrible customer service overall. I switched to Amazon for electronics and Lowe's for Appliances and frankly get better customer service every time.
