Diary 30th November To 3rd December 2018

Diary 30th November 2018 I got my welfare payment today and I was not surprised that the promised top up payment extra money for my rent was not included. This is a payment arranged by the Council to supplement my welfare payments which are now less than I pay out in rent. The support will end in April next year. I phoned the council, finally getting past their answering machines. They told me the payments are made separately and I should expect the first, which includes backdated payments from the start of October, is due this week. I noticed that they listed the amount they are paying as coming to me every week, when it should be every month. As they can and will legally demand back overpayments I pointed out this mistake to them. They appreciated my honesty. Diary Saturday 1st December 2018 The start of the last month of 2018, Advent and the countdown to Christmas. Many of my bills went out by direct debit today and I had to pay more at the post office. Diary Sunday 2nd December 2018 Friends from Manchester travelled up for a visit, and we took a walk through a lovely local park before visiting several pubs. It was a great day out and a delight to see my old friends too. Diary Monday 3rd December 2018 A university based voluntary work day, helping teach social work students how to conduct risk assessment studies on their clients as the social workers can make life changing decisions based on such assessments. Back home, I got a letter from the council telling me that they sent me a cheque for too much money already (in keeping with the conversation I described above). I am supposed to send this amount back, but surely as it is a cheque I should just not cash it at all when it arrives. Another cheque for the right payment has also been sent to me. I wrote by back by e-mail asking for clarifications. Youtube - One of the daftest Christmas songs of all Santa's A Scotsman Arthur Chappell
Santa's a scotsman and he's only got 4 days before he has to work his ass off. So today he's taking time out to contemplate his Xmas list.......enjoy

At least someone replied explaining that the two payments were sent separately, they are a pain to deal. I am glad you had a good time with your friend.

Sounds like the council is frustrating to deal with. I hope they get everything ironed out for you ASAP.

Do you think they wrote after you pointed it out to them? A day out with friends is a good kind of day for me...One of the best actually
