I need to lose Weight - Day 1

I have always struggled with my weight and it got a lot worse after I had my son.
I put on 4 stone, I managed to loose a stone of it last year but I have slowly put it all back on, and now it is really depressing me.
I comfort eat as well as just being a big lover of food so it's not a good combination.
I have decided that I need a kick start before Christmas so that I am not going into the new year with a huge target.
Today was my first day being 'good', I am not dieting as I don't think that is sustainable I am just cutting out the rubbish so today I have eaten:
Breakfast - Chicken Salad Roll - 360 calories (strange I know but I was in a rush and had to grab something on the way, normally when this happens I get a sausage and egg roll with a mocha which would be around 650 calories so this was a big improvement).
Lunch - Sweet & Sour Chicken and Rice (Home Made) - 400 calories
Dinner - Thai Chicken Curry (Ready Meal) - 600 calories
Snacks - Apple 70 calories
Total - 1430
My Fit Bit says I have burned 2363 calories today and need to eat another 300 calories to be in the good zone but I think I will be ok as I am.
So my day 1 weight is 14.7 and I want to be back down to 14 by the end of this month.
Then hopefully down to somewhere between 11-12.7 by my holiday in May and 11 by my Wedding in September.
That means I want to lose 49lb in 42 weeks so 1.2lb a week which is more than doable I just need to stay motivated. I am hoping posting on here will help me.

That is a great start. I also agree that making better choices is key - not diet. I would like to lose 30 pounds. I lost a good amount of weight exercising and eating lots of veggies last year. All the best to you. And don’t forget about the importance of exercise!

I do exercise but not enough, I am averaging about once a week at the moment but I need to increase it. I was doing well and then I sprained my ankle. I had my wisdom tooth out today so couldn't but I am hoping to get back on track tomorrow.
