Indonesians call this food SATE BEKICOT, this food is very delicious to eat. This is food that follows the season. Foods like this are usually made during the rainy season. Because BEKICOT will grow faster during the rainy season.
People here really use the rainy season to look for BEKICOT. Because during the rainy season, they quickly find BEKICOT and process it into very tasty food
Have you ever made food like this
Have you ever seen BEKICOT in your country

Your picture is . But the moment you mentioned snail, it raised all kind of flags.
We have something similar in Malaysia. But, instead of snail, we use mussels.

I have never heard the name Bekicot before, but I read in the comments that it is a snail dish. I have never eaten snails, some people in my country eat snails, but other types of food are more popular.

OMG, those are snails!we eat them but we do not barbeque them. They are called " kuhol " here and we eat them cooked in coconut milk, sauteed first in spices like ginger, garlic and onions, its spiced with lemon grass and at times mixed with an edible fern called " pako", very delicious
