Annoying Youtube ads

I often have Youtube playing in the background when working online or just on my computer. This means normally listening to tunes or political news with each feature starting after a previous one finished. The problem is the ads keep getting in he way, so I have to keep reopening the window set to Youtube to press skip ad (and some ads are set to play out regardless of skip options). I wouldn't mind if a/. it wasn't the same ads over and over again. b/. Some ads didn't last twenty minutes or more. c/. Some ads were not ads at all, for example one plays Michael Jackson's Thrill through in its entirity. I thought it was coming up as a pop song selection until it surfaced again, and again. I like the song and the long John Landis film, but I don't want it intruding on my listenings several times a day. I apreciate that Youtube needs some revenue to function but its in your face ad saturation is more off-putting than encouraging. Some ads are so aware of the skip ad function that they start with someone begging you not to skip the ad, but as soon as I get past the you can skip this ad in 6 seconds contdown, the ad is gone. The Youtube shows that the Skip Button hates its own job too
Confessions of a Skip Ad Button is the true-ish story of a Skip Ad Button struggling with the demands of a high-pressure job. He now works on http://froocho....

if folks only did the jobs they liked, plenty of jobs would never get done...

@arthurchappell I don't think lavatory attendants are actually needed, but you get the idea
