My Doctor Diagnosed Me Correctly…. After 37 Years.

My absence from myLot is health related, that is, if anyone missed me!
The new doctor listened to my symptoms and diagnosed my condition as fibromyalgia. This is not classified as a disease, nor are there any testing one can take (although I found a test on the internet, took it, and was told I had this condition and should check a doctor). It’s a painful condition to live with and lots of people chose suicide as an option, especially if they are not diagnosed correctly.
After 2 months’ treatment, I now have bladder and bowel control, and my internal body heat is now normal and I can feel the cold again. My aches and joint pains are still there but hopefully will be within bearable levels. My anxiety disorder, depression and phobia has a 98% recovery. A skin fungus infection is also being treated. My insomnia has improved and headaches have disappeared. My feet are stronger and I am on a ‘graded’ exercise program. I am doing fantastic.
The truth is I didn’t even know I was that sick until my treatment started. And definitely my quality of life has risen, even though I still hate to leave the house to socialize or run errands.
I missed my myLotter’s friends. I am trying again slowly to reconnect with old friends. Hope they are still nice as I remembered them.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in my twenties. I actually had one doctor tell me fibromyalgia is a disease women make up in their minds. Needless to say, I never went back to him. I am so glad you are feeling better and have gotten a proper diagnosis.

Ha! Many people also asked me if my symptoms were psychosomatic too. But I said no. It is a comfort to finally recognise that my symptoms are medical in nature.... and treatable. How are you doing now?

@Gita17112016 You should try to travel, not a long distance, but just to experiment.

Indeed, I feel that so many things are now opening up to me. In many areas I have already had vast improvements. I am even thinking of travelling somewhere as an experiment.

This doctor studied in England and he open a local practice. Other local doctors conducted CT and MRI scans but admit they saw nothing. My present doctor says it's so hard to detect that 99% doctors miss it. It can only be diagnose by a cluster symptoms ...no test, no blood trace.
I guess I am lucky to respond to the treatment.

No wonder you have been absent from here. That is a lot to deal with. I have heard of it before. It is not fun to deal with from what I heard. Sorry you have it.
