Kittens

December 8, 2018 6:34am CST
We just picked up a couple of new kittens. So far they are adjusting fairly well. Our problem is our dog he get along well enough with our other cats but he likes to play chase and they like to play it as well.. Meaning sometimes they start the game.. The kitten how ever don't like the dogs. It has only been a week during the day we let the kittens have the run of the basement rooms and have a gate blocking the stairwell from the dogs. Next week my son goes back to work is there any of you out there that have an idea how we can help these pets to get along or is it going to be a week in Kennel for kittens to keep them safe from an overly aggressive dog who just wants to play...

Even though the dog just wants to play, he can be a physical danger to the kittens. Since they aren't old enough to understand the dogs motive, that is why they are showing fear. It is critical to keep them separated or one of the kittens will wind up with a snapped neck @Upallnite .

That's why I have kittens in a kennel when none of us are around to watch. I just feel bad I have them penned up but better their safety

The kittens must be so playful and fun to have around.

It will take time but later they will become the best of friends. You just leave them there and not come in the picture.
