Hello everyone. The topic I have chosen for today's discussion is if med school is worth it. What I mean is if all the years of studying and hard work pay off at the end, if it is worth it to spend your youth with the books instead of travelling around with family and friends and just having fun. On the other hand what I think is that effort always pays off. Yes, it wants sacrifices but it brings joy and pride when having saved the life of a patient. How do you fell about choosing a career in the medical field?

Yes. It's one of the best jobs out there. As @sofssu said it's not just a job...

@nawala123 really? How being a doctor can be easy? Maybe you mean the commercialization

Yes. You can do all that in a later stage of life

Here in the US, I've never met a poor-money wise that is-doctor. I'm not sure if that holds true in countries with nationalized health care. I doubt the doctors are poor there, but I don't know if they're as relatively rich as a lot of doctors here wind up being.

I think that there's no such thing as a poor doctor according to the life standards in their country of course. Without comparing the States with some other countries around the world.

I would prefer something other than med school or engineering. Its very common.
